From the nearby Lueg Pass, it is only a few steps to the Salzachöfen natural monument. The imposing breakthrough between the Tennen- and Hagengebirge in the Dachstein limestone is over 80 meters deep. The rock walls have numerous huge erosion pools created by the formation of eddies in the flowing water.
The impressive natural spectacle inspires young and old and can be easily combined with a visit to the pilgrimage church “Maria Brunneck”, built in 1763, on the top of the pass.
