The Postalmstrasse in Tennengau is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful panoramic roads in the Salzburg region. The toll road, 28,5 km long, connects the towns of Abtenau in the Lammertal and Strobl in the Salzkammergut and opens up the largest contiguous alpine pasture area in Austria, the Postalm. Motorcyclists, motorists and cyclists not only enjoy the well-developed, two-lane mountain road, but above all the incomparably beautiful views of the mighty Dachstein massif and the rugged Bischofsmütze.
Enjoy every kilometer on the spectacular panorama road while driving, but be sure to take a break on the Postalm! Several parking spaces along Postalmstrasse are the starting and finishing points for walking and hiking trails through the extensive alpine pasture area. The next serviced alpine pasture is usually only a few minutes' walk away from the Bergstrasse: Strengthen yourself with sustainably produced alpine products and let the views of the mountains work on you while your children eagerly explore the surroundings and the animals on the Postalm.
